Process

Natural Gas Steam Reforming

Ammonia is a vital raw material used in the manufacture of Urea. At KFL, ammonia is produced by reacting natural gas with steam in the presence of catalysts. Nitrogen is introduced into the process through controlled air injection. The synthesis gas is further purified, and hydrogen is reacted with nitrogen to form ammonia.

Ammonia Stripping Process

Ammonia is a vital raw material used in the manufacture of Urea. At KFL, ammonia is produced by reacting natural gas with steam in the presence of catalysts. Nitrogen is introduced into the process through controlled air injection. The synthesis gas is further purified, and hydrogen is reacted with nitrogen to form ammonia.

Our Neem Coated Urea helps in:

  • Slowing nitrogen release, minimizing nutrient losses
  • Reducing environmental pollution
  • Improving crop yields

KFL strictly adheres to the Fertilizer Control Order (FCO) standards, maintaining nitrogen content at 46% and ensuring ideal particle size (1 mm to 2.8 mm) for optimal soil integration.

Ammonium Bicarbonate (ABC)

Ammonium Bicarbonate (ABC) is another key product manufactured as part of our integrated production process. It is produced using Ammonia and Carbon Dioxide, reflecting our commitment to resource efficiency and sustainable manufacturing.

Uses of ABC:

Steam & Power Generation Facilities

KFL’s captive energy systems ensure uninterrupted power and steam supply for plant operations:

Service Boilers

2 × 100 MTPH

Heat Recovery Steam Generators

2 × 100 MTPH

Gas Turbine Generators

2 × 26.4 MW (ISO Rating)

Bagging Plant

The prilled urea is transferred through conveyor systems to the Bagging Section, where it is packed into 45 kg HDPE bags and dispatched. KFL has also developed a railway siding to enable direct plant-to-market logistics.

Railway Siding Facility

As part of its commitment to operational efficiency and timely product delivery, Kribhco Fertilizers Limited (KFL) has developed and installed a dedicated railway siding facility within its plant premises.

This strategic infrastructure enables the direct dispatch of Neem Coated Urea from the plant, significantly enhancing the speed, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of distribution to key markets across the country.

With this facility, KFL ensures:

  • Faster bulk movement of urea to distant destinations
  • Reduced dependency on road transport
  • Improved logistics coordination with dealers, cooperatives, and institutions
  • Enhanced supply chain responsiveness during peak agricultural seasons

The railway siding reflects KFL’s focus on modern infrastructure, logistics efficiency, and farmer-centric service delivery

Offsite & Utility Facilities

KFL has robust auxiliary systems supporting its core operations:

Sustainability Integration

KFL’s manufacturing complex is designed to uphold environmental responsibility, zero liquid discharge, and efficient resource recycling, in line with modern industrial sustainability goals.
